This version 4.0 has the following features and changes:
- Integrated Editor
- Redesigned way of Purchasing
- Train Data display redesigned
- Lock status of switches now displayed on main screen
- Regular Blocks can now be admin blocked
- Reload Option added
- Detailed List enhanced for several object types
- Problem causing very slow acceleration of trains addressed
This is just a small list of all changes. It does not include internal enhances, optimizations, or changes in the existing structure to accommodate the editor.
We have also redesigned our manual, especially the ways you can navigate in there, due to its increased size, as it does now more explaining for things you need to understand the editor. The manual is available at
http://webrailroader.com/ctc/The manual is a work in progress, and it will be updated rather frequently. It is by far not complete yet, nevertheless we encourage you to point out things that are missing or poorly explained. We even have added a sub category "CTC manual" in this forum where you can make comments and suggestions regarding the documentation.
The editor, by the way, is also still a work in progress, since it is a very complex thing, especially the interaction between different panels where you can instigate any changes, and also regarding the tools that should make modifications to your territory much easier than going down to low level and change things one by one. If you have suggestions or bug reports, you can place them in the sub categories already established in this forum.
Oh yes - this upgrade from 3.24 or earlier is free, including a demo version of the editor (available if you have the standard license).
