CTC unable to run on Windows XP
« on: November 04, 2015, 08:25:12 AM »
Hi gents.

Thanks for providing, what seems to be the only serious simulation of CTC available. Being Danish Im very delighted to see that there is a Danish territory. Im looking forward to use the editor, which I understand you will add in the near future.

After download and install, I get the following message when trying to run the CTC.exe file.

"The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click on OK to terminate the application."

It pop-up instantly when clicking on the exe.file, and allow me nothing else but to click "OK".

Im running on Windows XP service pack 3, and haven't bin able to find any minimum software-requirements in your online-manual, other than Windows XP.

I hope you can help me on this, so I can purchase the full version as well.

Best regards
Andreas

I have XP/Service pack 3 myself. It is possible that you may not have the .NET framework installed (is this your first attempt to run CTC?)

The install files are supposed to care of the minimum requirements but may be it didn't.

A Google search for "initialized c0000135" points into this direction, so you may look there or at this post

where you can find a link to download .NET framework - or right here

Thanks for the quick reply Dpump.

Installing framework 4.0 didn't solve the problem. I had to install version 2 before it worked.

Cheers
