Editing

Hello:

Congrats on reviving an old idea and making it better. I like to make/modify files in TD3, will you be offering an editor to your program?

Yes, we will.

Since we need it ourselves, we have already an editor in the master files of the CTC project. But there is still more to do, and we haven't even started with the documentation yet.

So consider this a teaser:

Hi. I'm new and very interested in this sim but the biggest thing holding me back is the lack of an editor as I am "stuck" in the past and prefer to create my own sims of the Conrail 1997 Dearborn division. My dad retired as a tower (block) operator for Conrail so that is my interest. Any idea how much longer before the release of an editor/track builder. Thank you. I will be purchasing the full version momentarily anyways but I am anxious to create a route and scenarios to my preference. Thank you.

Sincerely,
Jim

We're making progress. The next version should have an editor included.

We have consolidated bits and pieces into hopefully more intuitive components, already going since release of 3.18. There are some loose ends to address, and we want to make sure there are no major snafus - and of course there needs to be some documentation.

We're aiming at least some trial version available at the end of next month (June 2015).

Thank you for the response. I really like what I've seen so far. I only have one more question but I will post that in the suggestion's thread. I have already purchased the full version. Great job so far! :)
