Installation problem

It has come to our attention, that there has been an installation problem for some of our customers. The most visible indication of that you will see is when you run CTC and every time you run it you get a message box indicating the installation was successful. You should get this only once, and not every time you start CTC after that. The reason is that the installation code is not stored into your profile in some cases - and if CTC does not find an installation code, it will consider that run as a new installation.

The functionality of CTC is not impacted by this, but it impacts the registration procedure if you purchase licenses from us. Since the registration code works only on the installation you purchased it from, it will not work when CTC treats every run as a new installation and you enter the registration code then. If you keep CTC running from the purchase time until you enter the registration code, CTC will accept it, but invalidate that the next time CTC is started - when it is installed again.

We will correct this in the upcoming Release 3.11. In the meantime, if you have a problem that the registration code is not accepted due to the installation problem, please contact us and we will work it out. There will be no charge for that.

CTC 3.11 is now released where measures have been taken to avoid the installation problem.
